Mike Davis
GIS Analyst
Born and raised in Alaska, Mike began his career in Mapping at the age of 16. After recieving a B.S. in Cartography from the University of Idaho he worked as a web developer and mapper for regional governments in Idaho.
He returned to Alaska as a research associate for Colorado State University's Center for the Environmental Management of Military Lands. Mike provides GIS and Mapping support for public works, range managers, and troop units.
A firm believer that cartography requires more than just a software license, Mike constanty harps on the importance of visual design in GIS.
Mike lives in Anchorage with his wife Kerry, and a menagerie of animals. They enjoy camping, hiking, and teasing Tom about his obsession with his dogs.
